Caramanico said the storefront will receive cultured/stack stone across the front and wrapping the corner, with new black-trim storefront windows and black awnings. The upper facade and side elevations will be clad in light gray clapboard; the applicant said top and side colors were chosen to match the clapboard above. A red awning will mark the front entrance while other awnings will be black, and a new planter with perennials and small evergreens will be installed.
Board members confirmed there will be new windows and trim, black garage doors and that existing signage will remain. Laura Ellis asked about planting and the applicant described small evergreens with seasonal flowers. The board approved the application 5–0 with stipulations: black awnings (except a red entrance awning), light-gray side and upper siding to complement the clapboard, and the proposed landscaping bed.
The approval is limited to architectural/façade changes; applicants were reminded to secure necessary permits and follow any program requirements tied to façade-improvement reimbursements noted by the applicant.
