Evansville council gives first readings to two budget ordinances

The Evansville Town Council on May 27, 2025 approved first readings of two budget ordinances affecting the town’s fiscal years through June 30, 2026.
Ordinance 5-2025, presented on first reading, would amend the town’s FY2024–25 annual budget. The ordinance text presented anticipated revenues and appropriations across multiple funds; the transcript lists an enterprise fund grand total of $4,579,868 and a capital improvement fund grand total of $4,398,263. The ordinance text also listed appropriations including $5,242,529 for the general fund and $1,875,275 for the enterprise fund.
