Glendo council adopts airport hangar lease, approves Starlink purchase and temporary malt-beverage permits for Trading Post

Councilmember Kelly Jones and town attorney Eric Jones reviewed language from an older lease for the airport hangars; Assistant Clerk Kelsey Crabtree said she located some of the owners referenced in the document. Councilmember Heather Schoning moved to adopt the airport hangar lease agreement, Kelly Jones seconded, and the council approved the adoption unanimously.
On connectivity, the council authorized purchasing a Starlink unit for $625 and a service trial at $165, pending a test of the system. Heather Schoning moved for the purchase and trial service and Kelly Jones seconded; the motion passed with all members recorded as in favor.
For community events, the council granted multiple 24-hour malt-beverage permits to the Glendo Trading Post: May 30–31 and June 1, and June 6–8. Heather Schoning moved to approve each set of permits; Kelly Jones seconded and the motions carried unanimously. Councilmember Kelly Jones also asked for volunteers and updates as organizers finalize food and activities for Glendo Days.
The meeting included several operational and code-enforcement items discussed earlier in the agenda, including an item noting the "old hotel" case is scheduled for court next month and a planned special meeting to advertise community-center demolition. No public roll-call votes were recorded in the minutes for these approvals.
