Board approves consent agenda; appraiser outlines remodel plan and digest deadline

The Glynn County Board of Assessors unanimously approved a 25‑item consent agenda at its May 14 meeting after the chair entertained a motion and heard no requests to pull items for discussion.
Ron Glisson, chief appraiser, reported the appraisal office is near the end of a remodel funded at $75,000, with roughly $15,000 remaining. He said plans call for converting the former customer service area into two private offices and a copy room, with possible flooring upgrades or a conference room depending on remaining funds. Facilities work was expected to start immediately with a quick turnaround.
Glisson also reminded the board that the county digest must be delivered to the Tax Commissioner’s Office on or before July 15. He said the board’s next meeting is scheduled for July 9 and that the staff anticipates presenting the digest for board approval at that meeting; the timetable is intended to meet the tax commissioner's submission deadline.
The board confirmed summer conference registration for members who had no scheduling conflicts and, with no new business raised, the chair adjourned the meeting.
