911 staff proposal: small pollinator garden at EOC wins commissioners' support

Sparks said sponsors include Fredy's Lawn and Landscape (installation and mulch) and Dave's Express Car Care (plants, bird houses), with maintenance support offered by Purdue Extension master gardeners. "The pollinator garden creates a public interest opportunity as the center plans to utilize social media throughout the entire process," Sparks said. Commissioners thanked Sparks for organizing sponsors and partners and expressed enthusiasm for the community and staff wellness benefits of the project.
No appropriation was requested; staff said sponsorship and volunteer maintenance will keep ongoing costs low. The board voiced support and did not oppose moving forward.
