Windham Board adopts budget outreach plan, accepts state supplemental town aid and cancels July meeting

Curtis Ehler moved and MaryAnn Daily seconded a motion to accept the revised nine-point budget overview after three clarifying changes were made; the motion carried. The board agreed members would post items from the list on a local Facebook group to inform residents and assigned items to specific members.
On the question of state supplemental funds, Christian Johnson, Director of Finance, said the funds were intended for towns and noted prior discussion about dividing them with the WTD. After that clarification, Curtis Ehler moved and Chuck Pennewill seconded a motion to accept all Connecticut state supplemental town aid as Town of Windham general government funds; the motion carried. The minutes do not record a vote tally.
The board also considered cancelling the July 8 regular meeting; Curtis Ehler moved and MaryAnn Daily seconded a motion to cancel that meeting, which carried. Curtis Ehler also reported that the Windham High School building project was wrapping up and appeared to be within budget. The board postponed review of an ECSU student-produced Mill Rate Dashboard until the August meeting.
The board approved grouped minutes from earlier May meetings at the start of the session. The minutes do not provide individual vote tallies for the recorded motions.
