Hollidaysburg Police report: 339 calls for service in May; K9 Dea deployed five times

The Hollidaysburg Police Chief told council the department handled 339 calls for service in May 2026 and provided a line-by-line breakdown of incident types and enforcement outcomes.
"For the month of May, for 2026, HPD handled 339 calls for service," the Chief reported. The breakdown included six assaults, four domestic-violence incidents, two DUIs, five drug/contraband calls, 10 harassment reports, one indecent-exposure, 12 motor-vehicle crashes, 19 suspicious-activity calls and 15 thefts. The department also reported seven trespass complaints, 85 vehicle stops, four warrant services, two weapons calls and five welfare checks.
As a result of that activity the Chief said there were two DUI arrests, 10 criminal charges filed, 68 traffic citations, six non-traffic citations, four adult criminal arrests and nine juvenile-allegation arrests. The Chief noted K9 Dea performed five deployments and participated in a drug-and-alcohol demonstration at the junior high school with Officer Kevin.
Council did not take formal action based on the report. The briefing provides a monthly operational snapshot; the Chief invited the public to contact the police department for follow-up or additional detail.
