The Chowchilla City Council on March 26 approved a resolution amending the city’s Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) plan and authorized the city administrator to execute all related documents.
Mayor Kelly Smith opened the public hearing at 4:29 p.m.; there was no public comment and the hearing closed immediately. Mayor Pro Tem Ray Barragan moved to approve Resolution No. 10-26; Council Member Jeff Troost seconded and the motion passed by roll call with Council Member John Chavez absent.
The amendment and accompanying authorization give the city administrator authority to sign grant-related documents tied to the PLHA program. City staff listed the item on the agenda as presented by Community & Economic Development Director Denise Munoz.
The action was procedural and taken by formal vote; the council did not record any public testimony on the matter. The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2026.
