Chandler recognizes housing leader Amy Jacobson as Villas on McQueen opens

Powell said Jacobson oversaw repositioning of existing public housing beginning in 2019 and led development work — including environmental review, financing, design coordination and federal regulatory compliance — on the 157‑unit Villas on McQueen, which the city described as its first new multifamily housing construction in more than 50 years. Family members, including her husband Russ and daughter Addie, joined Jacobson at the recognition; the Villas on McQueen grand opening was noted as occurring the following day.
Council members and staff applauded Jacobson’s service and thanked her for her work expanding affordable housing options in Chandler.
