During the May 26 session the Jones County Commissioners Court completed several routine financial and procurement actions.
Commissioner Lonnie Vivian moved to approve the Treasurer's report; Commissioner Joel Spraberry seconded and the court approved the report unanimously. The court next voted to amend the county budget and approve specified line-item transfers after a motion from Commissioner Roy Spalding and a second from Commissioner Joel Spraberry; that measure passed on a unanimous vote. Finally, Commissioner Lonnie Vivian moved to pay the bills as presented by the Auditor; Commissioner Joel Spraberry seconded and the court approved payment unanimously.
In procurement business, Commissioner Roy Spalding moved to approve a Cintas agreement providing uniform shirts, men's denim jeans and red shop towels for Precinct 3.
