Other formal approvals included two tax‑exoneration resolutions for properties purchased by the Erie County Land Bank at 11 Maple Street and 48 Atlantic Street (motion by Councilor Joyce, second by Councilor Steadman); a recommendation and approval of four Renaissance Grant awards totaling $17,675 from available funds (motion by Councilor Joyce, second by Councilor Osborn); authorization to post removed playground equipment for sale on Municibid (motion by Councilor Kerns, second by Councilor Steadman); and approval to open a PLGIT Checking & Prime account to transfer approximately $140,000 from capital equipment funds at Northwest for a higher interest rate (motion by Councilor Kerns, second by Councilor Steadman). All motions reported in the minutes carried unanimously.
Council also approved provision of 2–3 loads of ground millings to the American Legion ballfield and confirmed that Union Township will transport and grind millings for reuse, with tracking of quantities used.
What’s next: the Multimodal grant application will proceed per the council authorization; awarded grants or project contracts will return to the council as required for acceptance or appropriation. Several administrative items (account transfers, grant awards, equipment disposition) have been authorized to move forward administratively by staff under council direction.
