The resolution states the project is included in the Commonwealth’s fiscal allocation related to House Bill 900 and references $200,000 in the current appropriation and a second $200,000 proposed in the following budget cycle. Commissioners voted to approve the resolution on a voice vote.
City staff said the MOA obliges the city to comply with all applicable agreement requirements and reporting terms. The resolution text also acknowledged Representative Lewis’s assistance in securing the state funds.
Commissioners did not detail a construction schedule at the meeting. Staff said further project planning and contract decisions will follow after the MOA is executed and any state-required steps are completed.
