Eastham committee reviews CPA finances; historic-survey $40,000 shows no recorded spending

The Eastham Community Preservation Committee reviewed its cash balance and project updates at the June 10 meeting and asked staff to follow up on several outstanding items.
A member reported CPA tax collections of roughly $1.1 million so far for the fiscal period, noting the total is a little lower than last year because taxes were due May 1 and more revenue will appear on next month’s report. The chair flagged a historic-property-survey budget line of $40,000 that currently shows no expenditures and asked staff to check its status.
Joanna reported that the Deacon Payne property sale has closed, the deed was recorded, and paperwork needs to be completed to reimburse the Eastham Conservation Foundation (ECF). She said Henry had submitted the deed but it was returned because of a misaddress and that staff (Tina) would coordinate the reimbursement.
The committee approved two final reports: a $10,000 final report for Lower Cape Housing (motion by Eileen, second Bob) and an $11,000 final report for the WY Park kiosks, which included $1,300 of unspent funds to be returned. Both approvals were recorded with six votes in favor.
Members directed staff to report back on the historic-survey line and to coordinate with ECF to finalize reimbursement paperwork for Deacon Payne.
