At the June 10 meeting the Groveland Library Board voted to expand hours by adding three hours on Wednesdays, effective July 1, the first day of the library’s fiscal year.
Director Darcy proposed shifting staff schedules so the library can open at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and remain open through the evening until 8 p.m. Trustees said prior patron surveys showed Wednesday as a preferred time for additional hours and that Wednesday also avoids Monday holiday conflicts. The board voted unanimously to adopt the new hours, and Darcy will notify the select board and publish the change in the library newsletter and on the website.
Trustees discussed possible future expansions — including Sunday hours or a later Friday close — but agreed to start with the Wednesday addition and reassess staffing and patron need over time.
