Planning board accepts a withdrawal, grants one continuance and endorses two ANRs

The Quincy Planning Board handled routine consent and administrative items on June 10, 2026. The board accepted a letter withdrawing the Taco Bell application for 65 Newport Avenue without prejudice to allow the applicant to address community concerns. The board granted a continuance request from representatives of the proposed battery energy storage project at 475 Hancock Street so the applicant and the landlord could coordinate a storm and surge infrastructure remedy; the applicant requested scheduling on the July 29 agenda.
At the meeting the board also reviewed two ANR (approval not required) plans: one assembling multiple properties at 619 Washington Street associated with a car wash and oil change facility, and another creating a new buildable lot at 7 Peterson Road. Staff reported both ANR plans were ready for endorsement. The meeting closed after the board took motions on these consent items and then adjourned.
