City staff presented a notice of surplus property listing items from the Police Department Evidence Section, including 15 firearms the department recommended be disposed of through the city’s contract with PropertyRoom.com (firearms to be auctioned using Egunner.com). Councilmember Ramona Garibay-Rios moved to declare the listed items surplus and authorize online auction disposal; Councilmember Robert Ozuna seconded. The committee unanimously advanced the resolution to the next regular Council meeting for consideration.
Staff stated disposal will comply with existing law and the City’s contract with PropertyRoom.com; specific proceeds distribution and auction timing will be set as part of the normal surplus disposition process.
