"There's no proposed increase in the total tax rate," a staff member stated during the public hearing.
The council opened the public hearing and accepted public comment (including a resident concern about whether the packet's advertisement reflected the final calculation). After closing the hearing, the council moved to adopt the resolution to set the rate so staff can prepare tax bills to be mailed on schedule.
The resolution passed on a roll‑call vote with the council voting in favor.
