Pike Road presents FY2026 checks to sheriff's office, humane society and Crime Stoppers

Mayor Gordon Stone and the council presented FY2026 appropriations to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Montgomery Humane Society, and Central Alabama Crime Stoppers and thanked those partners for services to town residents.
At its May 27 meeting the Town of Pike Road recognized several community partners and presented FY2026 appropriations.
Mayor Gordon Stone and council members publicly thanked Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for their partnership and presented the agency with the town's annual contribution; Sheriff Cunningham offered brief remarks to the mayor and council.
Stone also presented a budgeted appropriation to Steven Tears of the Montgomery Humane Society; Tears thanked the council for the resources. Tony Garrett of Central Alabama Crime Stoppers received a similar appropriation and expressed appreciation.
Mayor Stone framed the presentations as part of the town's FY2026 budgeted support for partner organizations that provide services to Pike Road residents.
