Warrick County approves claims, contracts and construction draws including $173,300 right‑of‑way payment

The Warrick County commissioners approved a slate of administrative and procurement items at their June 8 meeting. By roll call the board accepted animal‑control donations totaling $430, approved the treasurer’s report for the month ending May 31, 2026, and authorized payment of claims in the amount of $5,953,742.40.

The board ratified a previously authorized payment of $173,300 for rights‑of‑way related to the Eporth Road project. The commissioners approved continuation of an auditor contract (Dawson County consulting/auditing services), payroll number 11 (May 29, 2026) for $76,298.70, and multiple purchases over $5,000 for the new security center and county departments (including correctional equipment, server equipment and vehicles) after staff explained procurement rationale and cost savings.

Commissioners also approved construction draw number 43 from the construction bond account for the security center, including a $1,190,316.22 line item to Garmong Industries and other vendor payments, totaling approximately $1,348,782. Purchasing reported competitive bids for aggregate materials and recommended awarding contracts to four vendors to reduce hauling distances and costs; the board approved the multi‑vendor awards as submitted.

County purchasing and public‑works staff answered commissioners’ questions on logistics, delivery and budget impacts during the presentation. No votes to rescind or amend these approvals were recorded at the meeting.
