Farmingdale trustees approve Easter sunrise service, set April 11 budget hearing and move into executive session

The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale unanimously approved a request from the Farmingdale United Methodist Church to use the Village Green for an Easter sunrise worship service on Sunday, April 17, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Trustee Walter Priestley moved the measure and Deputy Mayor William Barrett seconded; the board adopted the resolution (RESOLVED #2022-03-12).
At the March 21 work session Mayor Ralph Ekstrand and trustees also agreed to reschedule the regularly planned work session from April 18 to April 11 and designate that meeting as a Budget Hearing. Trustee Cheryl Parisi made the motion and Deputy Mayor William Barrett seconded; the board approved the change (RESOLVED #2022-03-13).
Later in the evening, Trustee Cheryl Parisi moved and Trustee Walter Priestley seconded a motion to move the board into Executive Session (RESOLVED #2022-03-14); the motion passed unanimously. After the executive session the board reconvened upon a motion by Deputy Mayor William Barrett, seconded by Trustee Cheryl Parisi (RESOLVED #2022-03-15).
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Ralph Ekstrand at 7:00 p.m.; the session adjourned at 9:30 p.m. and minutes were signed by Brian P. Harty, Village Clerk-Treasurer.
