Votes at a glance: June 9 Millis School Committee approves routine motions and fee waivers

Summer signers: The committee moved to nominate Mr. Underh Hill and another member as the two designated signers for bills over the summer months, with the three remaining members named as alternates. The motion was moved, seconded, and approved.

Fee waivers: The committee approved annual fee waivers for the Millis Pride basketball summer camp and for AAU Metro West Pride (fall 2026). Presenters said the programs keep registration low for participants (the majority of whom are Millis students) and contribute some proceeds to the district basketball program.

Memorial service and bench donation: The committee approved use of the Clyde Brown atrium for a memorial service for the district's former business manager, Terry Wigan, on August 8 and waived associated fees; the family offered to donate a bench and plaque, which the committee said will require formal acceptance procedures.
