Pasco staff recommends addendum formalizing Metro Drug Task Force funding; estimated Pasco contribution up to $60,000 in 2027

Beginning in 2027 the proposed contribution formula could lead to an estimated maximum Pasco contribution of about $60,000 annually depending on operating costs and reserve levels. The addendum also establishes a 7% administrative fee to support Kennewick's administrative services for the task force.
Staff noted many federal grant streams that historically funded Metro (for example HIDTA and forfeiture proceeds) have become less reliable; the addendum aims to provide financial stability and formalize budget-development processes and reserve targets. At the workshop council members expressed support for continuing participation and asked for the usual public-review process prior to formal approval.
