The Lindenhurst Village Board voted April 26, 2021, to name the Village Hall Board Room for Arthur L. Neubauer, Mayor Dominic Marturano announced at a special meeting called to order at 6:34 p.m. at Village Hall, 2301 E. Sand Lake Road.
"The Village Hall Board Room in which the Village Board conducts its business shall be known as the Arthur L. Neubauer Board Room," Mayor Dominic Marturano proclaimed during the special meeting.
Trustee Pat Dunham moved to approve the proclamation and Trustee Bill Anderson seconded. A roll-call vote recorded Trustees Bill Anderson, Pat Dunham, Patty Chybowski and Dawn Suchy voting aye; no trustees voted nay. Trustees Dawn Czarny and Heath Rosten were absent. The motion carried.
The board revealed a dedication plaque that now hangs outside the board room; the meeting record states the plaque represents family and community and notes that Art dedicated his life to the community.
Trustee Patty Chybowski made a motion to adjourn, Trustee Dawn Suchy seconded, and the board voted 4-0 to adjourn at 6:47 p.m. The special-meeting minutes were documented and carry signature lines for Mayor Dominic Marturano and Village Clerk Jody Stoughtenger.
