Lindenhurst board seeks federal aid route, amends SWALCO agreement and approves engineering and lake-management contracts

If Lake County Council of Mayors and the Illinois Department of Transportation approve the designation, the section would become eligible for federal funding for resurfacing or reconstruction, typically an 80/20 federal/local split.
Separately, trustees agreed to amend the intergovernmental agreement establishing the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) to allow immediate past mayors/village presidents to serve as alternate directors; staff supported the change and the motion passed unanimously.
On contracts, the board authorized the Village Administrator to execute an updated service agreement with Manhard Consulting to serve as village engineer for planning, zoning and landscape architecture services with annual fee updates, and approved a lakes-management services agreement with McCloud Aquatics to begin May 2021 for algae and weed control, water quality monitoring and reporting.
