Mayor Dominic Marturano administered the Oath of Office to three newly elected trustees at the Village of Lindenhurst's regular meeting Monday night, seating Patty Chybowski, Patrick Dickson and Dawn Suchy.
The appointments marked the start of the trustees' new terms; following the oath the board approved the mayor's recommended slate of officer, commission and committee appointments for fiscal year 2022. Trustee Dawn Suchy was named the Plan Commission liaison and Trustee Heath Rosten the Park District liaison, and Trustee Dickson replaced outgoing Trustee Bill Anderson as Human Resources Committee liaison and as Lakes Commission liaison previously held by Trustee Dawn Czarny. The board voted 5-0 to confirm the appointments.
Among commission actions the mayor appointed Ken Funk, Caly Winter, Tom Heinrich and Dave Kraft to the Lakes Commission, nominated Fritz Meyers for a Lakes Commission seat (replacing Patrick Dickson), and reappointed Dave Kraft as Lakes Commission chair. Christopher Gheysen and Jon Feld were reappointed to the Plan Commission. Incumbent commissioners Paul Baumunk, Dutkovic and Gajda were reappointed to the Veteran's Commission, with Paul Baumunk continuing as chair; Phil Rovang was nominated to the Veteran's Commission. Carl Norlin remained as a mayoral appointment to the Police Pension Board, and William Douglas was reappointed to the Board of Police Commissioners.
The approvals were procedural and carried by unanimous roll call votes of the trustees present. The meeting record shows no objections to the slate.
