The Upshur County Commission authorized several administrative and financial actions during its May 28 meeting.
The commission voted to authorize the Commission President to sign Oaths and Certificates for the personal property books and real land books. Commissioners then approved participation in the WV Communities Self Insurance Risk Pool with a total annual contribution of $216,209.00; County Administrator Tabatha R. Perry said the pool's triennial review produced an $11,496 reduction in the workers' compensation fee. Motions were made by Commissioners Sam Nolte and Doug Bush and recorded as approved.
Carol J. Smith presented proposed inter-departmental budget revisions; on motion by Samuel R. Nolte, seconded by Douglas K. Bush, the Commission approved the revisions. The Commission also approved all listed invoices for payment, vacation orders, and the settlements included in the agenda report.
Tabatha Perry also presented a small grant award notice: an FY2025 Bulletproof Vest Partnership award of $2,556.28 was listed among informational items; the program requires a 50% local match.
No dissenting votes were recorded on these administrative and financial items during the meeting.
