Pinellas Park swears in four new firefighters; department sells shirts to support injured firefighter's son

The Pinellas Park Fire Department on June 9 welcomed four new hires in a swearing-in ceremony conducted during the City Council meeting.
The fire chief introduced and provided brief biographies for Landon Killian, Jordan Zent, Christopher Fari and Rebecca Langley, noting service histories, local ties and training backgrounds. Each new hire repeated the oath of office together and was pinned by family members.
Following the ceremony, department members described a fundraising effort: t-shirts bearing a photo of Lieutenant Riley and his son are available at Station 36 and from public-works staff, with sales intended to help the family cover expenses while the child is hospitalized. "We appreciate the city and everybody involved for making this happen so we can wear the shirts on duty," a department member said.
The mayor and council offered congratulations and brief comments; the meeting then moved to other agenda business.
