Pinellas Park council vacates portion of 106th Avenue North; mayor abstains

The Pinellas Park City Council on June 9 adopted Resolution 2026-09 to vacate a 30-foot-wide unimproved right-of-way on 106th Avenue North in the Pinellis Farm subdivision on first and final reading. The vote carried with Mayor Bradbury abstaining.
Planning coordinator Kiara Brown presented VAC 0925000000009 and described the request to vacate the unimproved portion adjacent to 10606 49th Street North. Brown said the property is zoned heavy commercial with a land-use designation of commercial general and is in flood zone X, a low-risk flood area. She also told the council that the current filing includes letters of no objection from utility providers, a correct legal description and a certified sketch; the applicant will be required to deed a utility easement to the city for part of the vacated area.
Brown said the planning and zoning commission recommended approval May 7, 2026. Council member Brisville moved to adopt Resolution 2026-09 on first and final reading; the motion carried 4–0 with Mayor Bradbury abstaining.
The resolution provides for recording the vacation in Pinellis County public records and sets an effective date as described in the resolution.
