At the June 9 meeting the Williamsville Central School District presented its 2025–26 annual energy report and provided a construction update on the district's elementary air-conditioning project.
The superintendent reported that natural gas consumption increased 9.84% year over year and associated natural-gas costs rose 19.34%. Electricity consumption increased 2.66% while electricity expenditures rose 23.09%. District officials said ongoing conservation measures remain in place but noted future electricity demand could increase after district-wide air-conditioning work is complete.
Facilities staff updated the board on the elementary HVAC and air-conditioning schedule. The project team said phase-one heating units and related commissioning are targeted for completion by September 2026. The most intensive construction work will occur over the summer; the district expects air-conditioning in phase-one buildings to be commissioned and ready for use by spring 2027. Officials cautioned that supply-chain issues or other interruptions could affect the timeline.
District leaders emphasized that the HVAC project includes broader heating and ventilation improvements, including new boiler plants, and that weekend and shift work are being used to keep the project on schedule.
