Township seeks $250,000 state grant for ADA playground at Lindenwood Park

The Dickinson Township Board of Supervisors voted March 4 to approve Resolution 2026-11 requesting a $250,000 Park Rehabilitation & Development grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2).
Township Manager Jill Lovett explained staff recommended pivoting this year to a C2P2 application focused on an ADA-accessible and sensory playground and associated access improvements within Lindenwood Park Phase II. The change was recommended because Phase I construction is not expected to begin this year; applying to C2P2 now would allow work on the playground to proceed and preserve eligibility to apply for federal Land & Water Conservation Fund/National Park Service funding next year for Phase I field work.
Lovett said the township plans to pursue matching funds through the Local Share Account (Category 4) for $250,000 and a subsequent statewide Local Share Account request for additional field work. Vice Chairperson Jennifer DeGaetano moved to approve the resolution; Supervisor Robert Line III seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
