CS Davidson Township Engineer Jason Reichard told the board four bids were received and the engineer's construction estimate was approximately $376,000. Reichard said Farhat had previously performed work for the township (a 2015 culvert replacement) and had provided a prequalification certificate demonstrating capacity for the contract.
Supervisors discussed traffic detours and emergency-service access during construction; Chairman Rob Kole emphasized the need for a confirmed schedule to minimize disruption. Reichard said the contractor indicated a three-week milestone for the replacement, weather permitting, and reported that the box culvert has been ordered. Reichard projected an October 2026 start date pending procurement schedules.
Manager Jill Lovett and Chairman Kole noted the township expects county grant reimbursement covering 50% of eligible costs up to $200,000; Kole estimated the township's potential reimbursement on the low bid at about $160,000. The board approved the award unanimously.
