Council approves park fencing, street crack‑sealing contract, crosswalk murals and assorted routine items

Crosswalk murals: Council approved a service agreement not to exceed $22,200 to pilot painted crosswalk murals at six local intersections using MDOT‑approved paint. Staff described a maintenance plan: prepared surfaces, sealed paint and DPW maintenance to preserve an expected three‑to‑five‑year life span if properly applied and protected during curing.

Other consent items and appointments: Council reappointed members to the Watershed Stewards Commission, approved library year‑end budget adjustments to close out the fiscal year, and granted several business‑license renewals and temporary food‑truck permits as listed on the agenda.
