Select Board reappoints emergency management director, fills commission seats and moves to executive session

The board also appointed Jason LaRock to a two-year term on the Memorial Sports Center Commission and appointed Beth Dow as town treasurer following a charter change that moved the position from elected to appointed.
Later in the meeting the Select Board voted that premature public knowledge regarding two contract negotiations would place the town at a substantial disadvantage and entered executive session with the town manager, assistant manager, director of administration and the police chief present to discuss the negotiations. The board returned from executive session and adjourned the meeting.
Each appointment was made by motion, second, and a voice vote recorded as 'Aye.' No roll-call tallies were provided in the meeting transcript.
