Board approves multiple contracts, MOAs and personnel actions including tenure appointment
Summary
The board approved a slate of contracts and memoranda of agreement (behavioral consultation, music therapy, audiology services, cleaning services), multiple MOAs with employee groups, and appointed Megan Rogers to a tenure position as Director of Pupil Services; several resignations and summer appointments were also approved.
During its June 9 meeting the Caledonia-Mumford board approved a series of operational contracts, memoranda of agreement, compensation measures and personnel appointments.
Contracts and services: the board awarded the 2026–27 cleaning services contract to JV Cleaning Services as the lowest responsible bidder; it approved two behavioral consultation contracts with the Summit Center (up to 10 hours each for targeted special-education support), an agreement with Music Therapy Pathways (Sept. 1, 2026–Aug. 31, 2027) and a contract with Hearing Evaluation Services of Buffalo for audiology services (evaluations, technology and monthly follow-ups as needed).
Labor and MOAs: the board ratified memoranda of agreement with the Caledonia-Mumford Teachers Association covering mandatory training language, teacher graduate-credit reimbursement for one employee, mentor-coordinator stipends, and an MOA with the support-staff association for bus drivers. The board also approved compensation agreements for multiple administrative and support positions (treasury and payroll coordinator; secretary to the superintendent; computer service assistant; automotive mechanic; business administrator) as presented.
Personnel moves: the board approved a slate of summer workers for building and grounds, appointed Alana Burns as a summer ENL teacher and accepted the resignation of elementary assistant principal Jessica (effective June 30, 2026). Importantly, the board appointed Megan Rogers to the tenure position of Director of Pupil Services, pending completion of her probationary term.
Board members noted some debate during votes on compensation agreements but the motions carried. Several board members thanked departing staff and recognized the expedited approval of time-sensitive contracts so providers could schedule services before the summer.
