Commission continues review of pipe replacement at 1079 Boston Turnpike to Oct. 22 after site visit

Ross Lally, chair of the Bolton Inland Wetlands Commission, told the panel the town was notified of excavation at 1079 Boston Turnpike and that Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso visited the site.
Alyssa Barroso reported she had examined the area after being notified, found the site to be clean with no evidence of sediment release to the brook, and advised the property owner to apply for the required permit. Frederick Davis, the applicant, explained the work that has been completed and showed the site plan to the commission.
Lally said the unpermitted work is "technically this is a violation" but noted the commission’s intent to cover the completed work under a pending permit application. Commissioners encouraged members to visit the site and asked that any additional future work be included on the permit application. Agent Barroso asked Davis to add additional seeding and haying to stabilize disturbed soils.
Because of the state-mandated 60-day waiting period the commission could not act on the application at the meeting; the application was moved for consideration at the Oct. 22, 2024 meeting.
