Coopertown renovation near completion; contingency remains as work shifts into summer

"We're in the home stretch," one project manager said, estimating the total project roughly 80—85% complete.
Budget and schedule: Staff reported about $420,000 in contingency and roughly $180,000 in allowances remain. "That leaves about $600,000 total of contingency and allowances," the manager said. They noted the gym floor remains the schedule-critical path item and could push some completion work into late summer or early September, though teams are aiming to finish earlier.
Solar and next steps: Solar-panel installation on Coopertown is due to begin over the summer as part of the electrical contract; Chattam Park solar work is also planned for mid-July with a multiweek installation window. Staff committed to sending weekly progress updates to families as the district approaches the opening of the next school year.
