The Sacramento County Planning Commission voted June 8 to approve an amendment to the Carly Mine use permit that would allow mining on an additional 11 acres and modify the reclamation plan and development agreement.
Staff presented the item as non-contested and available for a presentation but did not provide one at the hearing. The clerk read the project location at 6875 Eagle’s Nest Road in the Vineyard community and noted the environmental document is an addendum to a previously certified final EIR.
An applicant representative expressed appreciation to staff; no members of the public submitted comments for the planning-commission hearing. A motion to approve the use-permit amendment was made, seconded and passed with all members present voting yes.
The commission’s action forwards the matter per staff recommendation.
