Planning commission approves Morabi Singh subdivision vesting map in Vineyard community

The Sacramento County Planning Commission on June 8 approved a vesting tentative subdivision map and associated entitlements for the Morabi Singh project at 9494 Flooring Road in the Vineyard community.

Associate planner Christopher Albert told the commission that a June 3 revision changed the numbering of conditions after the applicant worked with SMUD to reduce a public-utility easement, which led staff to add and remove conditions and update attachment two to reflect the new numbering. Planning Director Todd Smith introduced the item as non-contested and staff said the environmental determination for the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.

Commissioners asked staff to coordinate with Elk Grove Unified School District on entitlements for a nearby future school site at Dawn and Brendan Natoli Park; Commissioner Rockenstein said he wanted to ensure the county and district remain synced as the school project progresses. Ena Miller of Beer Homes, the applicant’s representative, thanked staff and said the company had no additional comments.

No members of the public submitted comments at the planning-commission hearing. A motion to approve the item was made and seconded; the commission recorded the recommendation as passing with all members present voting yes.

The commission’s approval forwards the matter as recommended; the staff report and revised attachment two carry the updated condition numbering.
