He explained the stores on the site are often empty during large portions of the day and that a neighboring café has begun valet operations during peak hours, which the applicant said reduced earlier problems.
Board members opened public comment briefly and heard none. A motion to approve the variance passed unanimously. The planner said he would draft the decision and attempt to record it in the permit portal the following day. The board then adjourned.
