Administrator Joseph Kusculo explained that the request covered an expected multi‑site religious observance at the mosque on Dunham's Corner Road and would rely on an off‑site parking field on Fresh Ponds Road (a horse farm near Giamarice Farm) to accommodate overflow vehicles, with shuttle buses to transport attendees to the mosque. Kusculo said the overflow parcel comprises about 50 acres and that organizers would provide shuttle service and coordinate the number of officers and security personnel needed to handle traffic and crowd management.
Council members asked questions focused on parking logistics, shuttle routing and the level of police coverage. Councilman Makavoy sought clarity on the precise location and parking plan; Kusculo provided the explanation above. Council President Zimbicki and other members indicated that the proposed arrangements were understandable and that staff would track the number of officers required for the event.
Also on the consent agenda was approval for a one‑night Lunar Fair at the county fairgrounds and routine permits for seasonal community events, including the township’s Independence Day program and associated overflow parking arrangements. The council noted the Lunar Fair item is new to the ticketed/fairground schedule and confirmed organizers will comply with standard public‑safety and site requirements.
The clerk called the roll on the consent items; the motion carried for the members recorded in the roll call. The council then moved on to general announcements and adjourned.
