District shows high teacher effectiveness in annual evaluation presentation; ratings weighted 67/33

At the June 11 meeting the Glendale Elementary School District presented its required teacher and principal evaluation ratings for the 2025–26 year.
Debbie Balados told the board the evaluation framework uses a 67% weight for direct evaluation measures and 33% for school performance and growth data. "The teacher evaluation rating is the 67% is the evaluation of and then the other 33% is the school performance and growth data," Balados explained.
The slide presentation summarized overall teacher ratings for the year and the principal evaluation measures, which use the same 67/33 split. A board member noted that 97% of the district's teachers were rated effective or highly effective and commended the staff for that result.
Balados invited questions and offered to answer follow-up inquiries; the board recessed shortly afterward for a brief break.
