Glendale transportation director announces resignation, will depart June 30 for Sunnyside Unified

"On the consent agenda tonight is my resignation from Glendale Elementary School District. June 30th will be my last day," Miranda said during the board's call-to-public segment. He thanked the governing board, the executive team, site administrators, HR, student services, fellow directors and the transportation staff for eight years of service.
Miranda also thanked a colleague by name for mentorship and guidance over the years. He said the Sunnyside position brings him closer to family and allows him to return to a district where he previously attended school and taught.
The resignation was listed on the consent agenda. The board considered the consent agenda (with one item pulled for separate consideration) and later approved the pulled item; the overall consent actions carried during the meeting.
Board members offered personal thanks and farewell remarks during board reports and the meeting’s closing. President Mike Martinez and other board members expressed appreciation for Miranda’s service and wished him well in his new position.
