Paris reports finished paving on Spalding and Orchard; Campbell Road milling and water‑main rework planned

On water work, staff said contractor Bellamy must return to rework about 600 ft of water main after drilling through shale. Officials said some pipe segments were installed with less cover than the contract required (contract specified 5 ft but portions were under 4 ft), leaving roughly "a little over 500 ft to redo." Town staff expected to have a clearer repair plan after a Thursday meeting with Dawson.
The town also discussed the street-name sign replacement effort: the vendor contracted to change signs on Bradley has gone out of business, so staff will work with county contacts to find a replacement contractor. Equipment and payment updates were also reported, including receipt of a CHIPS payment and pickup of a trailer to assist with spot repairs.
