The Holbrook City Council voted June 10 to appoint Deputy Clerk Jackie Dwire as city clerk, effective July 1, following the retirement of the previous clerk, Lisa Hunt.
Manager Sullivan said the promotion would ensure continuity in the clerk’s office: "Jackie's stepped in to Lisa's role very well, and I really appreciate her and look forward to working with her," Sullivan said during the meeting.
Council moved, seconded and approved the appointment by voice vote. The council expressed appreciation for Hunt’s service and confidence in Dwire’s ability to manage executive-session procedures, statutory requirements and other clerk responsibilities going forward.
