Beach Committee schedules June 19 cleanup at Jenness Beach with Blue Ocean Society

The cleanup will begin at 9:30 a.m.; cleanup materials will be provided for volunteers. Committee minutes state volunteers’ names will be entered into a drawing for a $30 gift certificate donated by Common Roots. Leverone said he has reached out to Earth Tones, associated with the New Hampshire Arts Association, to ask whether artists might reuse some collected debris in artwork, a practice previously done with Blue Ocean Society collections.
Committee members divided distribution responsibilities for fourth-grade beach posters and were asked to recruit volunteers for the June 19 event. The cleanup is a reschedule of an earlier April date; the committee emphasized materials and volunteer coordination will be provided on the day of the event.
