Board approves personnel items and advances AI policy to first reading
Summary
The board approved certified resignations (pending replacement), retirements, and certified recommendations for 2026–27; the board also approved the first reading of Policy JDC (AI policy).
Human resources presented three action items: certified resignations pending suitable replacement; certified retirements; and certified recommendations for the 2026–27 school year. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved the first reading of Policy JDC, the district’s AI policy, as presented in the board packet. The first reading was moved and carried; the policy will return for the second reading and adoption under the board’s normal policy-review schedule.
The HR presenter also reported open positions in the district (approximately 14 open positions: five certified, five classified and about four other roles including nurse and assistant principal positions) and provided a brief staffing update.
