Board delays $277,550 well project; Premier Lakes reports minimal algae and pending littoral plantings

The River Ridge Community Development District discussed but did not act on a revised $277,550 estimate from McCullers Construction Services & Consulting to install a new well for irrigation and water resources during its June 25 meeting.
Eric Long and staff reviewed the proposal alongside South Florida Water Management District restrictions on irrigation and long‑term water‑use considerations. The board opted to table the item for future reconsideration rather than approve the well installation at this meeting.
Separately, Alex Kurth of Premier Lakes reported there was very little algae or submerged vegetation following pre‑season preparation, noted staff would treat invasives if they recur, and said littoral plantings were scheduled to be installed in about two weeks. Kurth confirmed a sound box behind a house in the Masters had been repaired and staff will inspect noisy aerators and check sound levels at Lake E1‑C for any further action.
Staff asked Premier Lakes and Operations Manager Shane Willis to provide another update at the next board meeting on aerator inspections and the littoral installation schedule. The well installation estimate will be reconsidered at a future meeting.
