Crook County approves signatures on three road grants and awards crushing contract

The lowest responsible bidder was listed as Forment LLC at $662,250 to crush about 75,000 tons of material. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved awarding the contract and authorized executing the contract outside a formal board meeting so the contractor could finalize bonds and signatures.
County staff said securing the pit and crushed material supply is important given rising prices and the need for aggregate in the upper country districts; the contract will cover material for both Bear Creek and Paulina areas. No further action was requested at the work session beyond authorizing signatures and contract execution.
