Eversource receives approval to add pole on Eastville Avenue to support cable project

Ms. Goldstein added the installation is part of a broader re‑conductor of a circuit that will extend and enhance capacity onshore; she confirmed Eversource’s work at the top of poles is complete but that Comcast and Verizon still need to transfer their equipment.
Select Person Mark Leonard pressed the utility to continue work addressing the island’s many double or hung poles on other streets; Eversource thanked public safety officials for assistance during recent storms and confirmed the pole before the board is an additional pole rather than a replacement. The Select Board closed the hearing and approved petition WO#24147363 by roll call.
