The school committee approved an updated facility rental fee schedule and the online EventManager booking system, ratified a negotiated memorandum of agreement with the administrative assistants, and received a summary of the state's special-education monitoring visit at its June 10 meeting.
Facilities director Katie Sinclair said rental fees had not been reviewed since 2019 and recommended adjusted rates and explicit charges for equipment and staffing (custodial overtime). The district is implementing EventManager to enable online booking, invoicing, and improved tracking of maintenance costs. The committee approved the fee schedule effective July 21, 2026.
The committee also voted to ratify the Duxbury Administrative Assistance Association MOA covering July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029; members praised the collaborative negotiations.
On special education, district staff reported that state reviewers examined 42 compliance criteria and identified three areas of partial compliance: SE9 (eligibility/evaluation timelines), SE18B (IEP delivery timing under new guidance requiring IEPs be sent within five school days), and SE37 (out-of-district contract language). The district has submitted corrective-action plans and expects to complete steps by Sept. 30.
